Privacy Policy

Property Handover · Last updated: August 14, 2026

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") describes how Property Handover (the "App") handles information in connection with your access to and use of the App. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you acknowledge that you have read and understood this Policy.

1. Scope of This Policy

This Policy applies to the App and its optional Google Drive sync and backup feature, described below. It does not apply to third-party services you may access through the App, such as Google Drive or the Apple App Store, each of which is governed by its own privacy policy.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not operate any server that stores your report content, and we do not collect personal information for our own use. In particular:

3. Where Your Data Is Stored

All content you create in the App — property details, rooms, inventory items, keys and meter readings, photos, annotations, remarks, and signatures — is stored locally on your device, in the App's private storage area, for as long as the App remains installed with its data intact.

If you uninstall the App, or clear its storage through your device settings, that data is permanently deleted from your device. If you have not connected Google Drive, we hold no copy of it and cannot recover it. Depending on your device and its settings, its operating system's own general backup features may incidentally include the App's local data; this is standard device-level behavior outside the App and is not something the App itself controls or guarantees.

We recommend exporting a report once it is complete — as a PDF, or using Settings → Export Current Raw — so that you retain a copy independent of the App.

4. Google Drive Sync and Backup (Optional)

If you connect a Google account in Settings, the App signs you in through Google's own sign-in flow and stores your reports — property details, remarks, photos, and signatures — in a hidden, app-private folder within your own Google Drive. The App requests only the narrowest available Drive permission (the "appdata" scope), which allows it to see only the files it created itself, and never the rest of your Drive. This data resides in your Google account and is governed by Google's own privacy policy; we do not receive, view, or retain a copy of it. You may disconnect at any time from the App's Settings. Instructions for deleting synced and backed-up files are available on our Data Deletion page.

5. Information About Other People

The App is designed to record a property handover, which ordinarily involves people other than you — for example landlords, tenants, and agents. You may enter their names and contact details, and capture their handwritten signatures on the device, as part of a report.

This information is your content. It is stored and handled exactly as described in Sections 3 and 4 — on your device, and in your own Google Drive if you connect it — and we never receive, view, or retain a copy of it. Because you decide what to collect and from whom, you are the party responsible for that information: you are responsible for having any consent or legal basis required in your jurisdiction to collect it, for handling it lawfully, and for responding to any request a person makes about their own data. See Section 3 of our Terms of Service.

6. Camera, Photo Library, and Address Lookup

The App requests access to your device camera and/or photo library solely to allow you to capture or select photos for inclusion in your reports. Photos you add are processed and stored on your device, and, only if you connect it, in your own Google Drive as described in Section 4. If you enable the "save a copy to gallery" setting, photos you take are additionally saved to your device's own Photos app.

When you enter a Singapore postal code, the App may look it up against a public address service to fill in the address for you. Only the postal code you typed is sent; no other information about you or your report is included.

7. Data Sharing and Third Parties

We do not have visibility into your report content at any stage — while it is being created, or when it is exported or shared. When you choose to export or share a report (for example, generating a PDF, or exporting a raw report file), the resulting file is transferred directly, on your device, to the destination you select, such as your device's Files app, email, or another app's share sheet. That transfer is initiated by you and directed by you; we have no visibility into, or control over, it.

8. Children's Privacy

The App is intended for adult and professional use — for example, by property agents, landlords, tenants, and similar users documenting a property handover. It is not directed at, designed for, or marketed to children, and we do not knowingly permit children to use it or knowingly collect personal information from children. For the age thresholds and protections applicable in your jurisdiction, see the FTC's Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) guidance. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us at support@simsop.dev and we will delete it.

9. Your Rights and Choices

Because your report content is stored on your device (and, optionally, in your own Google Drive) rather than on our servers, you retain direct control over it at all times — you may access, export, or delete it through the App itself or your device's settings. We hold no personal information about you on our own servers. If you have any question about your data, contact us using the details in Section 11.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we do, the "Last updated" date above will change accordingly. Continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.

11. Contact Us

If you have questions about this Policy, or requests relating to your personal data, please contact us at support@simsop.dev. See also our Terms of Service, which govern acceptable use of the App and our liability.
